The Farmy Farm has more going on
than a chook in a worm farm!

The Farmy Farm’s presence at the 2026 Litchfield Rural Show has been made possible by a grant from the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal.  FRRR supports remote, rural and regional communities across Australia to be more vibrant, resilient, empowered and sustainable.

Join these two for a day in the life of getting their jobs done with a tractor-load of circus and farming tomfoolery.  It’s “The Castle” meets “Babe” with an acreage of acrobatics.
Created by the team who brought you Children are Stinky, in collaboration with Stunned Mullet Circus, this show has award winning roots.
Performed by the dead set legends Josie Wardrope (By A Thread) and Sam Aldam (Circus Oz), you can expect big tricks and even bigger laughs.
Look forward to jaw-dropping acrobatics, high-flying carrots, 3 metre balancing bales of hay and so much more.

The Legends from Farmy Farm will then bring you free interactive workshops in the children’s playground area on Saturday & Sunday of the show – check our program of events closer to show days for the workshop times.

The Kids’ Sensory Zone

The Kids’ Sensory Zone is a vibrant, interactive haven thoughtfully crafted to captivate young children and their parents through playful, hands-on exploration. From the moment families step into the space, they are welcomed by a kaleidoscope of colors, intriguing textures, and dynamic shapes that spark curiosity and encourage joyful movement.

Children are drawn to Play-Doh stations, where their imaginations run wild as they squish, sculpt, and mold bright, pliable dough into endless creations. Nearby, sensory trays filled with soft sand, silky water beads, and bouncy foam balls provide irresistible opportunities for tactile discovery. The varied textures invite tiny hands to dig, sift, and squish—each sensation offering a new way to engage with the world around them.

The entire zone is designed to awaken and engage all five senses.  Children are encouraged to learn through exploration, creativity, and play.

This thoughtfully curated environment fosters not only sensory development but also social interaction, emotional growth, and parent-child bonding. In the Kids’ Sensory Zone, every texture touched, every sound heard, and every color seen becomes part of a joyful learning journey.
