Special Regulations 2026

  • Livestock Movement Biosecurity Requirements must be adhered to.
  • All nominated goats to attend Litchfield Rural Show must be identified with a RFID before delivery to the showgrounds.
  • Food and water to be provided by the exhibitor, bedding straw to be the responsibility of Litchfield Rural Show.
  • Goats in classes 8001 to 8008 must be pure breeds. Goats in classes 8009 to 8010 must be crossbreeds. If in any doubt, contact Steward.
  • Exhibitors are asked to identify the number of pens they require.
  • Exhibitors should note the following:
  1. Doeling – refers to a female goat unkidded, between the ages of 6 and 12 months
  2. Buckling – refers to a male goat between the ages of 6 and 12 months
  3. Kid – refers to a goat under the age of 6 months.
  • All of the above ages are at date of judging.
  • The Goat Paraders Competition will be judged prior to and during the goat judging and will include aspects of care and preparation of the stock.
  • Judging will be on Friday 22 May at 10.30 am.

Delivery & Collection

  • Deliver to Goat Pavilion: Friday 22 May 8.30 am to 10 am
  • Exhibits are not to be removed before 4 pm Sunday 24 May
